¡Bienvenidos a la página de la Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica de California!

The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is a nationally known honor society that recognizes high school students for their achievement in Spanish or Portuguese classes.  The SHH is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP).

There are many benefits of having a chapter of the SHH at your school.  Students can publish their Hispanic-themed artwork or their poetry and essays written in Spanish or Portuguese in the literary magazine ¡Albricias!.  Members who are juniors may compete for the Junior Travel Award.  This award covers the costs of a summer trip with other SHH members to a Spanish-speaking country, such as Spain, Costa Rica or Mexico.  Members who are seniors may compete for the Senior Award, offering numerous scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 or $2,000.00 to the college or university that student will be attending.
